We are a lively group in the Chemistry Department of the University of São Paulo (USP), looking, sometimes literally, at the properties of interfaces at the nanoscale, with a particular (but not exclusive) interest in biological interfaces and single-cell metabolism.
We develop our own custom instrumentation for high-end electrochemical and optical imaging, as well as low-cost electrochemical instruments geared at teaching and at democratising and decentralising science.
Our techniques, and our broader interests, apply to cellular biology, electrochemical interfaces, energy storage and conversion materials, and catalysis.
The group is led by Prof. Gabriel Meloni, and we are always looking for energetic, curious people to join us. Our students enjoy outstanding infrastructure in the lab, the department, and USP, in a collaborative and diverse environment.
