Welcome to the Functional Nanoscale Imaging of Interfaces Laboratory!
We are a lively group hosted in the Chemistry Department of University of São Paulo (USP), looking - sometimes literally- at the properties of interfaces at the nanoscale, with a particular interest, but not limited to, in biological interfaces and single cell metabolism. We develop our own custom instrumentation for high-end electrochemical and optical imaging of such interfaces and also low-cost electrochemical instruments, geared at teaching and democratising/decentralising science. The applications of our techniques, and our broader interests, are in celular biology, electrochemical interfaces, energy storage and conversion materials and catalyses.
Our group is led by Prof. Gabriel Meloni and we are always seeking for energetic and interested individuals to join our group. Our students enjoy an outstanding infrastructure within the lab, the department and USP, in a collaborative and diverse work environment. Find out more about our group, our research, current opportunities and the people that puts the fun in FuNII Lab.
